Hope Floats Spotlight

14 Oct

It’s a celebration of hope as Wrapsody remembers and honors women with breast cancer through our annual Hope Floats campaign. This month, we are celebrating Survivors, Fighters & Angels of Breast Cancer and want to share with you Stories of our friends and customers that are FIGHTING & WINNING to inspire each of us!

“I was 45 years old…wife, mother, business owner when I was diagnosed (2 years ago). I had an aggressive tumor in my right breast which I detected. Biopsy revealed infiltrating ductal carcinoma. Immediately I began chemotherapy for 20 weeks, then followed by double mastectomy and several reconstructive procedures. I took Herceptin Infusions for 12 months in addition to the chemo. I’m so happy to report that I am cancer free, feeling amazing and hoping to inspire other women to believe in their bodies! I’m so thankful that God led me to find the lump in my right breast so I can be alive today and watch my children grow!”

“I was 40 years old when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I found the lump on10410910_10152712404103150_2513836848874234915_n Easter Sunday, and so my journey began. It was a very terrifying time, but The Lord walked with me every step. He is faithful! I have learned so much through this journey, grown spiritually and have met many wonderful people who have supported me and have walked with me, especially on the hard days. Breast cancer wasn’t an end to my life, it actually was a new beginning. When you face a health crisis you realize how precious and short life is.
It has made me appreciate that which I had taken for granted. I can not express enough that without Jesus, I would not have been able to bear it. To Him be all the glory!!”

“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
Romans 8:28

I then realized that I would be taking the same journey as my best friend Traci who had been through it 10 years ago and she was with me during that phone call from my doctor. God knew that we needed each other in our lives and for us to be strong together. She has been my true ROCK along with all my loving family and amazing friends. I will always have my CHIN up and will be a stronger person after this adventure and beat this just like Traci did.”           JN

Stop by our hope floats window this month to celebrate, honor and remember someone you love with breast cancer.

Keep on fighting, winning and surviving!
