Hello Wrapsody friends!

We hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing weekend! We know it’s almost March (can you believe it?!), but it’s never too late to whip up some inspiration for 2012- the greatest year yet! We’ve made a list of some our favorite websites that touch on a variety of different aspects- health and well-being, lifestyle, charitable giving and faith, among several different topics. But don’t take our word for it…check these sites out for yourself and let us know YOUR favorite!

1. All Women’s Talk – www.allwomenstalk.com

Here women blog about beauty, health and fitness, relationships and family life, fashion & other girl stuff. Spend five seconds on their home page and you’ll know why we LOVE this site. (WARNING: HIGHLY ADDICTING!) A few examples of some articles include “50 Quotes to Empower and Inspire Women,” “8 Best Websites for Coupons,” “9 Ways to Consciously Make Better Decisions,” and “10 Fantastic Ways to Save Money.” Why do we LOVE this site? Because of it’s streamlined, simple format and brilliant, unique photos! Filled with everyday advice, tips and inspiration to keep going, you are sure to find an article or two that will inspire you to be your best self!

2. Pinterest – www.pinterest.com

If you haven’t heard already, Pinterest is the newest interactive social media website. Overflowing with photos of mouth-watering food, unique interior and exterior decor ideas, far-off travel hotspots, to-die-for apparel and other random, quirky topics, you’ll need to make sure you have enough time to explore this addicting website! After creating an account, you can customize your own boards (think Home, Wardrobe, Photography, Travel, Food, DIY Crafts, etc.)  and “pin” different photos to each of these boards according to what YOU love. And by “following” your friends’ boards, you can glean an even bigger collection of “pins.” How neat is that? It’s always cool to be able to come back to an idea you pinned and use it as inspiration for a new outfit, dinner dish or travel hot spot! Get to pinning YOUR interests!

3. The Pioneer Woman – www.thepioneerwoman.com

If you aren’t familiar with Ree Drummond, well, you should be. You won’t regret it. Truly a Renaissance Woman, her blog tells of her journey From High Heels to Tractor Wheels (her book) with a strange but unique combination of humor and grace. Ree daily updates her blog with mouth-watering recipes (AMAZING CHEF and host of her own show on the Food Network channel), practical photography tips, hilarious and heart-warming happenings on and off their Oklahoma ranch, and so much more. Her colorful website is remarkably relatable and down-to-earth…we think you’ll like it too!

4. Causes – www.causes.com

Want to make the world a better place? Fight for some injustice? Inspire others? Causes.com is a remarkable website that serves as a forum where people can donate to and even begin a cause. Any cause. As the world’s largest platform for activism and philanthropy, Causes.com empowers individuals to begin grassroots communities (called “causes”) that take action on behalf of a specific issue or nonprofit organization. Since 2007, they have gathered more than 170 million members, $40 million raised for 27,000 nonprofits and 500,000 member-created causes. Nothing shy of amazing, Causes.com gives members incentive to recruit friends to join, donate or raise funds, educate themselves through videos and photos, discuss important issues, and more. The daily devotional thoughts published on their website help readers spend time in God’s word each day. We can’t imagine a better way to start the day!

7. The 3/50 Project – www.the350project.net

The 3/50 Project is an organization whose mission is to strengthen independent brick and mortar businesses, or “mom-and-pop” stores. Their objective could very well be simplified to two words: SHOP LOCALLY. The 3/50 Project encourages citizens to pick the three local stores they would miss the most if they were to disappear, pop in and say hello. (And possibly spend a buck or two.) This organization is aimed at “shining a light on the stark contrast between what an independent, locally owned brick and mortar business contributes to the local economy versus the significantly lower amount big boxes, franchises, chains, and internet purchases.” Help save local economies and shop locally!

8. Emily Post – www.emilypost.com

“Manners! Manners! Manners!” We know we’re supposed to use them, but sometimes, proper etiquette is downright hard to figure out! Emily Post Institute, Inc. (or “Emily Post”) is a wonderful resource for those of us who need a friendly reminder about how to act in certain situations…which is all of us, at one point or another. Founded in 1946 by Emily Post and her son Ned, the organization promotes civility, etiquette and new manners for today’s world based on honesty, respect and consideration. You will find advice on everything from family life to table manners to business etiquette to wedding advice to job hunting- and everything in between! This nifty website even includes etiquette for college students (i.e. what to do when your roommate isn’t doing the dishes?). For when you need to know what your mother would tell you, spare yourself a lecture and visit this classy website.

Well, that’s a wrap! We hope you love these nifty sites as much as we do! If you have a website that you’ve really benefited from or a website that you just love, comment below and let us know! We’d love to hear from you! 🙂

Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Lots of love,

The Wrapettes
